With over 40 years of experience in oil and gas and engineering companies, Mapi started her career working in engineering and project management. Later, she specialised in cost estimation and worked in Latin America, Spain and North Africa. Mapi used her expertise in estimation, validation and control of project costs, contract and document management to build a system called SICOST.

Mapi is an Industrial Engineer graduate from the Instituto Politecnico Luis Caballero Mejias, Venezuela.
